GETTING STARTED

Please Note:
Due to the current pandemic we are holding our Informational Meetings virtually.

Attend an Adoption Info Meeting

Thank you for your interest in working with The Cradle as a hopeful prospective adoptive parent. The first step in the adoption process for a prospective adoptive family is to attend one of the information meetings listed below.

At our free Informational Meetings you will hear our experienced staff talk about adoption, our programs and how we prepare and support our families through the home study process and beyond.

Please check back often to see when our next Information Meeting will be held.

Available Programs

We are accepting registrations for our Agency Assisted Program (Domestic Infant Program) and International Program.

At this time, our General Domestic Program and our Finding Families Initiative/Sayers Program* is full.

*Sayers Center meetings are designed and intended for African American families who are specifically interested in adopting an African American child. At these meetings we will go into more depth on the myths and facts about adoption within the African American community.

Qualifications

The Cradle is only able to work with prospective adoptive families living in Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry, and Will counties in Illinois.
